In 2025, car interfaces are still early in their digital evolution. Some manufacturers try to replicate smartphone UX. Others experiment with their own interaction models.
After owning a Mercedes with MBUX for more than five years, I noted many issues in the daily experience.
Since I’m a product designer I decided that I should just try making a better version of the dashboard experience.
In this case study, I analyze modern premium automotive dashboards and design an improved UX for Mercedes. My goals were simple: to improve safety, reduce task completion time, and create a visual system worthy of the brand**.**
